Calculate your Body Mass Index. Supports metric and imperial units.
Body Mass Index (BMI) is a measure calculated from your height and weight. It is widely used as a screening tool to identify whether a person is underweight, normal weight, overweight, or obese.
Metric: BMI = weight (kg) ÷ height² (m). Imperial: BMI = 703 × weight (lbs) ÷ height² (inches). A BMI between 18.5 and 24.9 is considered a healthy weight for most adults.
BMI does not account for muscle mass, bone density, or fat distribution. Athletes may have a high BMI due to muscle, not fat. Always consult a healthcare professional for a full health assessment.
